Lampwork and silver rings

After many failed attempts, I finally made a couple of lampwork cabachons that I am happy with.  I set them in silver and made rings out of them to put in my Etsy shop

The first one has three tiny beads of fine silver embedded in the surface:

...and the second one is more organic looking and has a matte finish:

Copper love

This post could also be called, "texture love".

I made several pairs of earrings over the weekend with some copper I ran through the rolling mill with sandpaper.  I used 16 gauge sterling jump rings to connect the discs and finished the copper with a patina to highlight the texture of each piece.  I like these enough that I may actually keep a pair...

Pendants

I got some bench time in over the long weekend and made a couple of pendants--one is a gift and one will go into my Etsy shop.

The first one is a very simple sterling pendant--stamped with flowers and oxidized.  I added a little pink Swarovski crystal dangle.

The other one is made of brass that has been hammered and dapped with a sterling cross soldered onto it.  This sterling has been through a lot--it's one of the ingots I made recently then put through the rolling mill with steel wool.
